It didn't really take off, a lot criticised the purple suit, I actually liked it and it would be a great character to be reinvented by someone like Alan Davis. Maybe once he's finished tying up his ClanDestine/Vincent storyline. Also there's talk of a 'Commonwealth super team' in the making by Marvel, with Captain Britain, members of Alpha Flight etc, he could fit in.

A little gem from 1995, Nocturne, a four issue limited series that wasn't really connected to the usual Marvel reality. It was a character called Graham Poldark that donnned a 'Battlesuit', which had been created by Night Raven, as a final legacy after being poisoned in 1950.

Yesterday I posted pics of Union Jack by Bowen Designs. You can't have Union Jack without Baron Blood. This bust was released in 2006, sculpted by Mark Newman.
All that's missing from this set is a 'Spitfire' bust.
The most recent incarnation of Baron Blood was the grand-nephew of the original Baron Blood, and son of Spitfire. It's complicated, but there's been three Baron Blood's, only two of them connected to Union Jack & Spitfire, the second one being Victor Strange, who was Dr. Strange's brother.

Last week I posted pictures of 2 Captain Britain busts from Bowen Designs, and the new Captain Britain Statue. I want them all... but I don't think I can justify buying them all with my wife... flowers, and a bottle of wine just wont cut it... with a £200 hole in my bank account for the CB statue... shame!
Bowen has done other British characters, and one of the best being the Union Jack bust that came out in 2005, it's a beauty.
Hmmm... Can I justify £40?... maybe a big bunch of flowers and a BIG bottle of wine?
Whilst searching the usual sites, I came across a WIP by Bowen Designs on http://www.statuemarvels.com of a Union Jack Statue, which is looking mighty fine, and yes I want this one too. It's sculpted by The Kucharek Brothers.

The wife of Captain Britain, Meggan, who in her short life since her creation in the Marvel UK title 'The Mighty World Of Marvel' in December 1983, has herself had quite a few costume changes, here are the main ones...
I still can't believe that nobody out there has made a statue, or a bust. Come on Bowen Designs, it would sell extremely well. It would have to be the green costume!

Brian Braddock has had quite a lot of costume changes over the years, some good, some bad, and there are lots of captain Britain's on alternative worlds, but there is only one that matters, Brian Braddock... here's the costumes...
I still like the early costumes, the 1st one from the 70's with the lion on the chest, and the 2nd costume created by Alan Moore/Alan Davis.

America had Captain America, so it was only right that Britain had it's very own superhero wearing the flag of a nation, and so was born Captain Britain. It was in 1976 that he entered the world with his own title through Marvel UK, it ran for 39 issues before becoming a part of a Spider-Man comic in the UK.
These are the covers of those 1st 39 issues.
