Captain Britain Action Figures

Here we have a picture of the most recent Captain Britain Action Figures.

1st up is the 1970's Cap, which is part of a double pack with Spiderman, which is to tie in with Cap's appearance in Marvel Team Up way back in 1978. A thumbs up!

Then its the 80's Cap, which also get's a thumbs up.

Next it's the New Excalibur Cap, which also gets a thumbs up. I have this one, and I question the sword, and the gun, not pictured.

And finally the last one, what the hell is going on with this costume? It's an amalgam of the most recent MI:13 costume and a New Excalibur helmet & boots. It's just so wrong.

Alan Davis created a English team/family of heroes in the Marvel universe in 1994 called The ClanDestine. Davis' art, and Farmer's ink's once again captured the feel that was created whilst drawing Excalibur.

If you've never read these comics, and you like Alan Davis' art then ClanDestine is a must. There's talk of Davis doing another mini-series to tie up some loose ends, I really hope so, it's great.

The main members of the family that appear are...

Adam Destine, the father figure who is immortal, and invincible.

Wallop, who is the muscle of the family, and the angrier he gets, the bigger he gets, but also the dumber he becomes

Cuckoo, she's the telepath, who posseses bodies when her existing body is killed.

Argent, she can transform her body into organic metal, with swords, and pretty much any shape, or costume she wants.

Hex, the acrobat, and hyper-sensory member of the family.

Crimson Crusader, male twin of Imp, he has the power of flight, he's strong, and pretty much invulnerable, but is stronger when close to his sister.

Imp, she too has the power of flight, and light projection, and like her twin brother, she is stronger when she's near him.

ClanDestine issues so far have been...

Volume 1
X-Men & ClanDestine
All 12 issues of volume 1 and both of the X-Men issues are contained in a graphic novel, 'ClanDestine Classic'

Volume 2
These 5 issues have been put in a graphic novel entitled 'Blood Relative'.

I really hope that Alan Davis does release another volume of ClanDestine, the Vincent storyline needs to be completed.

Members of ClanDestine are in my Excalibur poll, and at this early stage some of them are getting votes, to become members of Excalibur. I think Crimson Crusader & Imp should join as junior members, which would mean Wallop would have to join, as their guardian, just to keep an eye on them.

The Metamorphosis of Excalibur

Excalibur, Britain's premier X-team? which eventually ended up being a part of MI:13. There's talk of a commonwealth team of heroes, British, Canadian etc, but being a big Captain Britain fan I would still like to see Excalibur return.

Team 1
Captain Britain, Meggan, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat & Phoenix (Rachel Summers)

Team 2
Captain Britain, Meggan, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Phoenix (Rachel Summers), Cerise, Kylun, Feron, & Widget.

Team 3
Nightcrawler, Colossus, Shadowcat, Daytripper, Britannic, Megan, Pete Wisdom, Douglock, Moira MacTaggert & Wolfsbane.

Team 4 - New Excalibur

Captain Britain, Pete Wisdom, Juggernaut, Nocturne, & Dazzler.

Team 5 - MI:13
Captain Britain, Pete Wisdom, Spitfire, Black Knight, Blade & Faiza Hussain.

So if there ever was a chance of Excalibur starting up again, who should be in the team? I'm going to run a poll on this one, please add who you think should belong... just for fun!

Jim Cheung Captain Britain Art

How good is this?

Spotted this whilst doing my usual Captain Britain Search, I think it's a commission.
